Gurugaman Cards for cashless travel on City Bus

Gurugaman - City Bus Travel Cards can now be purchased by commuters. These Cards can be used for cashless journeys on City Buses. Gurugaman Cards have been in use since its launch on 27th September, 2018.

Every card has a unique 12 digit number engraved on the face of card and arrangements are being made for easier availability and recharges of this card.

About City Bus Travel Card: Gurugaman Travel Card is a Contactless Smart Card used in City Bus for travel. The Travel Card can be used to purchase on-board journey tickets by commuters. To promote usage of Cards, a Rs 2.00 discount is being offered by GMCBL on every ticket.

Availability: The Cards have been available since its launch on 27th September 2018 at the following bus stops:

  1. HUDA City Center Metro Station
  2. IFFCO Chowk
  3. Krishna Chowk
  4. Gurugram Bus Stand
  5. Dundahera Bus Stop
  6. Sector - 56

Future Plans: There is a proposal for making the Cards available for buying Online. This facility shall be launched very soon, giving the option to the commuters to get the Cards home delivered. GMCBL also plans to conduct distribution campaigns in associations / societies, offices, and industrial hubs.

Cashless Ticket Option started since 27th September, 2018

Most convenient for commuter.

No Security Deposit; No Card Cost to be paid by commuters.

Discount of Rs. 2/- on every journey. In effect, the cumulative discount for every 4 journeys is equal to one free journey.

The minimum recharge value at the time of purchase of a new card would be Rs 50/-. Subsequent recharge of the card can be done at notified bus stops with a minimum value of Rs. 30/- and up to Rs. 1500/-.

Validity: No expiry unless notified.

Facility to check balance on Card: Electronic Ticket Machines with the Cutomer Service Agents (CSAs) available in all GMCBL buses.

Recharge: Smart Card can be recharged online using any UPI supported App, following the steps given above.

Replacement of Lost Card: Not allowed and commuter will have to obtain a fresh new card.

Usage of Cards:

While buying tickets, commuters may note that fare is deducted from the card which shall be provided in form of a receipt to be given by the Customer Service Agents (CSAs) in the bus.

Commuters shall also be sent a SMS confirming the transaction and resultant balance - subject to correct mobile number availability.

Cards are transferable and can be used to buy tickets for multiple journeys and multiple commuters.
